WHY KEIHIN PWK AIR STRIKER ?
I’m running 2003 HONDA CR250R with Mikuni carburetor but when it too old and consuming petrol. Too much petrol 20-23l/100km. Have not low rpm and always kill spark plug. I’m so tired with it and buy a new PWK AS. Why i chosen PWK AS ?
1. The motocross world knows PWK. Keihin PWK carburetors is the dominant carb on the factory motocross machines. Because of their great performance they come stock on a lot of the leading brand bikes. With these features you can take advantage of Keihin’s superior performance. KTM, Husqvarna… many motorcycle manufacturers use it for their enduro bike. I ride enduro with my CR and too much enduro rider use it for their bike. So i will chosen in the firts.
Chromed semi-flat (D) throttle valve for excellent response and more flow at high RPM.
When i install new PWK AS 38mm carburetor in my CR250. Firts ride make me crazy, the power comeback. Low RPM, high RPM is excellent. RC Valve open exactly time. I have a small wheelie when low rpm, it never have before.
Throttle bores sized to give maximum power. 70% power back when run with PWK AS.
Easy to jet. Yes, with a amateur enginer like me Jet carburetor is too hard. But with PWK, i can hear rpm, easy to jet air and fuel. I’m living at tropic country. High template and high humidity really hard too jet a bike with stoke main and pilot jet. But with PWK, stock main 170, pilot 55 it need a small jet for smooth rpm.
So i will run and get more review for you. This is a short when i have installed on my CR250. Really different before. If you are looking for a new carburetor for your bike. Let’s buy it.You will never regret.
